The commodities with metallic look and appearance have been tested and proven more eye-catching and attractive for consumers. More and more foil laminated and polyester film laminated material has been used on high-end commodities, which regrettably cannot be recyclable and repulpable. As a perfect substitute, we innovate and manufacture the metallized paper and paperboard, which has same luster surface. The metallization technology adopts a vacuum chamber where the aluminum wires are melted at a temperature of 1,450 degree centigrade and then the melted aluminum evaporated, deposit aluminum molecule onto the substrate of film or paper. In this way, the metallic layer is only 1/200 of the 6-micron foil, saving quite a lot aluminum resource.

How transferred metallized paper and paperboard are made? We make print receptive coating on film, and then we metallize the coated film, later we laminate the metallized film with paper or paperboard, finally peeling off the film from paper by a delaminator, so that the metallic layer has been transferred on the surface of the paper without the non-recyclable film. In this way, metallized paper has the same good breath as the plain paper, having no curling or cracked problem comparing with laminated materials. Transferred metallization can also carry holographic images, e.g. rainbow or light pillar, as well as company logo or registered pattern to make the packaging more personalized and individualized. Yet these unique materials can be readily applied for all printing processes including offset, flexo and rotogravure as well as for a wide range of packaging such as food and beverages, liquor, cosmetics, software, personal-care items, electronics and sports goods.
